Leiter capped off the first inning against the White Sox by throwing a 99.8 mph four-seam fastball to strike out Zach DeLoach. This marked the beginning of a tough, four-inning outing for the Rangers’ No. 4 prospect, according to MLB Pipeline.
Known for his high strikeout potential, Leiter effectively mixed his pitches, causing White Sox batters to chase and miss. His fastball and slider were particularly effective, helping him record strikeouts in each of his four innings and showcasing his ability to dominate hitters early in the count.
